May I See Some I.D.?

We all know that there is quite a controversy going in Arizona about a law they passed in hopes of controlling illegal immigration. There is much outrage among some people who think that Arizona has no right to try and control this huge problem. They think that Arizona is infringing on the rights of illegal immigrants when asking for I.D. if they were to be stopped by the police.

Well, let me tell you something. Last week I opened a new bank account. I had to give my name, driver's license number, social security number and mother's maiden name. I also might have had to give my birth place and date but I am not sure.

So, tell me, why should I, a native American, have to prove that I am who I say I am just to open a bank account while. Is this not a violation of my civil rights? Is it not racial profiling? Of course not.

If I am stopped by the police, must I not show my driver's license, car registration and proof of insurance? If I have to do it, why shouldn't others? And why shouldn't illegal immigrants be subject to the laws of this country? I have to follow the laws but they don't?

What a backwards, mixed up country this has become.
