We all know that the country's economy is not doing well. We can argue and disagree about how to fix it. But I gotta tell ya, I think we are much better off than we think. Just read stories about the Great Depression or even what went on in the 1970's. In my estimation, they were certainly much worse than now.
Why do I say this? Ladies and gentlemen, I give you dance lessons. No, I am not talking about ballroom dancing which is a wonderful skill to have. I am talking about performance dance. You know, like what is done in a Broadway or Hollywood musical.
You may think what is wrong with that? Actually, nothing. I am talking about the cost involved. I know the lessons themselves are not cheap. But the costumes! My word, the costumes are all professionally made and cost a small fortune. And what about the competitions? I don't know what they cost but there has got to be all kinds of fees associated with them not to mention travel and hotel expenses.
Trust me, if things were as bad as everyone proclaims, no one would be talking performance dance lessons unless you were really talented and had a definite future in show business. Talk about extravagance! Whooey!
